International LEGO Day in Canada

Aspiring Master Builders Assemble
January 30, 2019

The LEGO Movie 2: Only In Theatre February 8

With The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part set to hit theatres on February 8, aspiring Master Builders were busy testing their skills as they prepared for an epic journey into the Systar System.

On International LEGO Day (January 28, 2019), Canadian content creators and their families gathered at The LEGO Store at Yorkdale Shopping Centre to make something… awesome – the one must-have item they’d each take with them on their outer space adventure.

Channeling their inner Emmet, Lucy or General Mayhem, the builders got creative and all walked away one step closer to being future Master Builders.

Earlier that day, LEGO Batman himself, Will Arnett, kicked off International LEGO Day and Fun at Work Day by dropping by the Toronto offices of Corus Entertainment and Google.

The Toronto native, who voices LEGO Batman, joins returning cast mates Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Alison Brie, and Nick Offerman – along with newcomers Tiffany Haddish and Stephanie Beatriz – for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, in theatres February 8.
