EXCLUSIVE TORONTO ENGAGEMENT - OCTOBER 24th

TORONTO, -  Oct. 14, 2008 – Warner Bros. Pictures’ latest drama “TOWELHEAD,” will be released in TORONTO theatres as an exclusive engagement, on Friday October 24th, 2008.  The film opened in Los Angeles and New York on Friday September 12th 2008.

The long-awaited directorial debut of Allan Bell; Academy Award winning writer of American Beauty and Creator of Six Feet Under, “TOWELHEAD” is based on Alicia Erian’s critically acclaimed novel by the same name. Written for the screen and directed by Alan Ball, “TOWELHEAD” follows the dark, bold and sometimes shockingly funny life of Jasira, a 13-year-old Arab-American girl, as she navigates the confusing and frightening path of adolescence and her own sexual awakening.

“TOWELHEAD” made its North American debut at the 32rd Annual Toronto International Film Festival last September by the name “NOTHING IS PRIVATE.”

“TOWLHEAD” stars Aaron Eckhart, Toni Collette, Maria Bello, Peter Macdissi, and newcomer Summer Bishil as Jasira. The film is produced by Ted Hope and Alan Ball.  The executive producers are Anne Carey and Peggy Rajski.
